WEDDINGS
Solo acoustic guitar is a popular choice for setting the mood at both the wedding ceremony and reception. Because the majority of my clients are familiar with my work through live performances or CD’s, I often adapt my standard repertoire to match the couple’s needs. If a more traditional type of music is desired, I’m happy to provide a set of classical (Spanish) guitar. Past clients have requested pieces such (but of course we’re not limited to these choices) as the Mendelssohn “Wedding March,” the Irish “South Wind,” Pachelbel’s “Canon in D,” J.S. Bach’s “Jesus Joy of Man’s Desiring,” or my original “Her Red Hair” for the processional, with various upbeat numbers being considered for the recessional. Because not every wedding follows a traditional format, I’m happy to discuss individual needs or music wishes.

EVENTS
I have performed at events ranging from gallery opening and afternoon teas to corporate luncheons and business presentations. While most of these engagements call for background music, I can also present my appearance in a more formal concert format.

AMPLIFICATION
Unless the event is very small (about 20 people or less), a solo acoustic guitar requires some light amplification to be heard properly. I therefore provide an unobtrusive sound system (typically a small amplifier, but larger PA systems can also be used). Please let me know if your event is outdoors, so that I can arrange for battery-powered amplification.
